Could someone recommend convenient mp3 renamer utility (rename file, replace strings, with the option to rename mp3 based om ID3 tags info). But no necessity edit the ID3 tags itself- it useless at all. Freeware.
I use TagScanner. It works great for me.
It looks complicated enough, and mostly intended for editing ID3 tags.
I do not need editing the ID3 tags, it is correct originally…
Hey, it was just a suggestion based on what I use. It is not complicated and you do not have to edit the tags with it. It can be used to rename the files based on the tag which is what I understood you to wanted to do.

I just got on to TagScanner. Using v. 5.25. The only thing has me baffled
is it says after searching the database you can save tags and/or cover art.
I never see anything about the art, although it saves tags fine. Does it
just show the option if it finds some art? Or is there some Easter Egg I
got to push?
Don’t hold your breath waiting for jssilva to reply, this thread is two and a half years old. Perhaps someone else will answer.

I know it’s old but it’s specific at least
Cover art ain’t all that important anyway since it uses a lot of ink.
Once in awhile it’s nice to do it up for certain albums though.
