The well known hack to enable LP (3 hour) mode on many Liteon recorders involves changing 1 byte from the original value of 0x1B to 0x1F.
0x1B is 11011 in binary
0x1F is 11111 in binary
It seems that every bit in this byte enables one of the 5 standard recording modes.
Did anyone ever try to set additional bits in this byte (e.g. set the byte to 0x3F, that is 111111 in binary) to see what happens?
Maybe there are additional hidden recording modes such as the “just fit” recording mode available in the most recent Liteon recordersâ€¦
