This is just crazy. I kind of feel bad for Canadian citizens because their government officials did not listen to repeated warnings that something like this would happen if they did not significantly upgrade the security of their websites and online services. But, I also believe that a nation’s citizens have the responsibility to take an interest in the way that their government is doing things and press for such changes to occur and influence the way their tax dollars should be spent.
Too late for blame. Now it’s time to ensure that it won’t happen again, and take action to protect the citizens of Canada from the fallout.
