Hack My Wii, Hacking Made Simple

Introduction

[li]Hack My Wii can hack any Wii from System Menu 3.0 - 4.3 very easily! [except Korean 4.3K, as there is no exploit][/li][li]Hack My Wii will allow you to play your backup games on USB Device.[/li][li]Install Homebrew Channel and Bootmii.[/li][li]Install Hermes and Waninkoko cIOS.[/li][li]Install Priiloader with appropriate hacks.[/li][li]To Hack Your Wii, you need to know the System Menu Version.[/li][li]Go to the icon “Wii Options” and “Wii Settings”, the number is marked on the top right.[/li][/ul]

Step 0 - Preparation

You will need a non-sdhc sd card of 2gb or less formatted as fat32.

You will also need an external USB Device to transfer and load games.

If your Wii is 4.3 you will need to buy, rent or borrow one of these original retail game disc.

[li]Download and unzip the package “Hack My Wii” on your computer.[/li][li]Copy the contents of the “hack files” to the root of your SD card. [i.e. directly when you open the SD card.][/li][/ul]

Rename the private folder.

[li]If your Wii is version 4.1 or lower, rename the folder “private for Wii 4.1 and lower” to “private”.[/li][/ul]

[li]If your Wii is version 4.2 rename the folder “private for Wii 4.2” to “private”.[/li][/ul]

[li]If your Wii is version 4.3 rename the folder “private for Wii 4.3” to “private”.[/li][/ul]

Step 1 - Exploit The Wii

Step 1A - Bannerbomb for Wii 4.1 and lower

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Go into Wii Options.[/li][li]Select Data Management.[/li][li]Select Channels.[/li][li]Select SD Card.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]A pop-up opens, choose “yes”.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

Step 1B - Bannerbomb for Wii 4.2

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Go to the SD Card Menu.[/li][li]Insert your SD card.[/li][li]A pop-up opens, choose “yes”.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

Step 1C - Game Exploits for Wii 4.3

LEGO Batman for Wii 4.3/E/J/U

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Play LEGO Batman to create save data.[/li][li]Go into Wii Options.[/li][li]Select Data Management.[/li][li]Select Save Data.[/li][li]Select Wii.[/li][li]Remove the LEGO Batman savegame.[/li][li]Select SD Card at the top right.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]Select the “Bathaxx” save for your region.[/li][li]Copy the save to the Wii.[/li][li]Exit Data Management.[/li][li]Boot LEGO Batman.[/li][li]Load the saved game you just copied to the Wii.[/li][li]You are now in the batcave, take the elevator on the right side. Then in the trophy room, go to the upper corner and go through the door in order to enter the “Wayne Manor”. Now you can select a character. Choose the last enabled one in the lowest row.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures for Wii 4.3/E/J/U

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Play LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures to create save data.[/li][li]Go into Wii Options.[/li][li]Select Data Management.[/li][li]Select Save Data.[/li][li]Select Wii.[/li][li]Remove the LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures savegame.[/li][li]Select SD Card at the top right.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]Select the “Indiana Pwns” save for your region.[/li][li]Copy the save to the Wii.[/li][li]Exit Data Management.[/li][li]Boot LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures.[/li][li]Load the saved game you just copied to the Wii.[/li][li]When the game loads, you will be in Barnett College. Walk to the Art Room (through the Courtyard), approach the left character on the podium. When it zooms on him, choose the switch to option (two silhouettes, staggered, with an arrow pointing between them).[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

LEGO Star Wars for Wii 4.3/E/J/U

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Play LEGO Star Wars to create save data.[/li][li]Go into Wii Options.[/li][li]Select Data Management.[/li][li]Select Save Data.[/li][li]Select Wii.[/li][li]Remove the LEGO Star Wars savegame.[/li][li]Select SD Card at the top right.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]Select the “Return of the Jodi” save for your region.[/li][li]Copy the save to the Wii.[/li][li]Exit Data Management.[/li][li]Boot LEGO Star Wars.[/li][li]Load the saved game you just copied to the Wii.[/li][li]Go to the bar on the right and choose the character named “Return of Jodi”.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

Super Smash Brothers Brawl for Wii 4.3/J/U

[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Load Super Smash Brothers Brawl.[/li][li]Go to the stage builder.[/li][li]Remove any existing stages on Brawl.[/li][li]Exit the stage builder.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]Go back to the stage builder.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s Wheelie Breakers for Wii 4.3/J/U

[ul]
[li]Power on your Wii WITHOUT the SD card inside.[/li][li]Play Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s Wheelie Breakers to create save data.[/li][li]Go into Wii Options.[/li][li]Select Data Management.[/li][li]Select Save Data.[/li][li]Select Wii.[/li][li]Remove the Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s Wheelie Breakers savegame.[/li][li]Select SD Card at the top right.[/li][li]Insert the SD card.[/li][li]Select the “Yu-Gi-Vah” save for your region.[/li][li]Copy the save to the Wii.[/li][li]Exit Data Management.[/li][li]Boot Yu-Gi-Oh 5D’s Wheelie Breakers.[/li][li]Press (A) and wait until the title menu shows up.[/li][li]Press (A) and you will see a loading screen. Wait a couple of seconds.[/li][li]HackMii Installer is launched, go to Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][/ul]

Step 2 - Install Homebrew Channel

[li]Hackmii installer is launched, wait for about 25 seconds then Press (1) to continue.[/li][li]Press (A) to continue.[/li][li]Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]If available, Install bootmii as boot2 [boot2 may not be available].[/li][li]Return to the main menu.[/li][li]Exit HackMii Installer.[/li][li]Go to Step 3 - Install IOS236.[/li][/ul]

[li]You are now in the Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Wait 30 secs…[/li][li]Select IOS236 Installer.[/li][li]Select Load.[/li][li]The installer runs automatically and will return to HBC when completed.[/li][li]Go to Step 4 - Install Custom IOS.[/li][/ul]

[li]You are now in the Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Wait 30 secs…[/li][li]Select Multi WAD Batch Installer.[/li][li]Select Load.[/li][li]The installer runs automatically and will return to HBC when completed.[/li][li]Go to Step 5 - Reinstall Homebrew Channel to use IOS58.[/li][/ul]

Step 5 - Reinstall Homebrew Channel to use IOS58

[li]You are now in the Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Wait 30 secs…[/li][li]Select Hackmii Installer.[/li][li]Select Load.[/li][li]Wait for about 25 seconds then Press (1) to continue.[/li][li]Press (A) to continue.[/li][li]Install Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Return to the main menu.[/li][li]Exit HackMii Installer.[/li][li]Go to Step 6 - Install and Setup Priiloader.[/li][/ul]

Step 6 - Install and Setup Priiloader

[li]You are now in the Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Wait 30 secs…[/li][li]Select Priiloader.[/li][li]Select load.[/li][li]Wait for initialization.[/li][li]Press (+) to start the installation.[/li][li]The installer runs and will return to HBC when completed.[/li][/ul]

[li]You are now in Homebrew Channel.[/li][li]Press and hold the reset button on the front of your Wii.[/li][li]Using the D-pad on your wii remote to navigate.[/li][li]Go to Settings and Press (A).[/li][li]Change the Background Color to Black.[/li][li]Save settings.[/li][li]Press (B) to go back to the main menu.[/li][li]Go to System Menu Hacks.[/li][li]Enable Block Disc Updates, Block Online Updates and Move Disc Channel.[/li][li]Save Settings.[/li][li]Press (B) and select System Menu.[/li][li]Go to Step 7 - SD Card Clean Up.[/li][/ul]
To access priiloader again perform one of these steps:

[li]Power on your wii then immediately press and hold reset.[/li][li]Press and hold reset while your wii is powered on.[/li][li]Set autoboot: to priiloader[/li][/ul]

[li]Reformat your SD Card using fat32.[/li][li]Copy the contents of the “after files” to the root of your SD card. [i.e. directly when you open the SD card.][/li][li]Go to Step 8 - Set Up USB Loader Hard Drive[/li][/ul]

Partitioning

[li]Connect your USB Device to your computer.[/li][li]Load FAT32_GUI_Formatter on your computer.[/li][li]Choose your correct drive letter. [important][/li][li]Allocation unit size: 32768.[/li][li]Click Start.[/li][/ul]

Apps and fat32 Partition

[ul]
[li]If you choose to use USB instead of SD Card. You can setup the FAT32 partition exactly the same as you would setup the SD Card.[/li][li]e.g … usb:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol and so forth for other apps.[/li][li]Most applications will default to SD Card first. If SD is not detected then will switch to USB.[/li][li]For Wiiflow, you can choose where you want the themes, music, and settings to be loaded from. It can be loaded from either the SD card or the hard drive’s FAT32 partition.[/li][/ul]
NOTE: The wiiflow.ini file will be created after you load Wiiflow on your Wii.

[li]open the wiiflow folder in the root of your sd card [or usb fat32][/li][li]edit the wiiflow.ini to read “data_on_usb=no” to read from sd card[/li][li]edit the wiiflow.ini to read “data_on_usb=yes” to read from usb fat32[/li][/ul]

Transferring Games

[li]Open Wii Backup Manager.[/li][li]Click the Drive 1 tab.[/li][li]Click the Drive drop menu.[/li][li]Select the Ext HDD.[/li][li]Click the Files tab.[/li][li]Click the Add drop menu.[/li][li]Browse to a compatible file or directory of folders containing compatible files.[/li][li]Click the Select drop menu and click All.[/li][li]Click the Transfer drop menu and select Drive 1.[/li][/ul]
This is only the basics. There are many options of Wii Backup Manger and you should become familiar with them.

Launching Wiiflow

[li]Connect your USB Device to the outer most usb port on the back of your wii console.[/li][li]Connect the power cord if needed.[/li][li]Power on your wii.[/li][li]Select Wiiflow Channel.[/li][li]Select Start.[/li][/ul]

If you have your wii connected to the internet, click on the settings button and press the + button a few times until you see the option of downloading all covers. Press (A) on it and let it download the covers for all of your games.

By default all USB Loader Games should work.

Hack My Wii includes the necessary cIOS for all usb loading of all compatible games.

249 is selected by default, you only need to change CoD:BO to run using 250.

If you really need, ive also included hermes cIOS 222, 223 and 224.
