H10L Software

Obtained a LG DVD in a used computer. The label states it is a Model GSL DVD, GSA H10L, ROM version LE05.
<o:p> </o:p>
NERO InfoTool reads it as HL-DT-ST GSA-E10L, DVD RAM 3.0.0., ROM version LE05. Lightscribe software not installed.
<o:p> </o:p>
I thought the “E10L” referred to an external drive. That assumption appears to be wrong.
<o:p> </o:p>
The XPpro WMplayer R/W’s to CD but unable to check the DVD R/W. Before installing Firmware LL12, is any of the original software available?
<o:p> </o:p>
Thanks for any help.

LG drives come with Nero Express and some software from Cyberlink (Power Producer and Power DVD). That’s all.
Either you’ll have to buy that software (in their most recent version) or stick with free alternatives:
Imgburn as CD/DVD burning software, VLC player for DVD video playback.
