H.264.AAC.AVI profile?

I’m trying to create an H.264.AAC.AVI profile for use with my Xbox 360. I know it seems weird and maybe impossible. I’ve tried hand editing one, grabbing xml from various profiles and can’t seem to get it to work. Profile editor will only let you use AAC with MP4.

Xbox supports:
• File extensions: .mp4, .m4v, mp4v, .mov, .avi
• Containers: MPEG-4, QuickTime
• Video profiles: Baseline, main, and high (up to level 4.1)
• Video bit rate: 10 Mbps with resolutions of 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps
• Audio profiles: AAC, 2-channel, Low Complexity
• Audio max bit rate: No restrictions.

I’ve had no luck creating anything that works. Any advice?

This should be in the Mobile/VideoFab sub-forum. If it supports MP4s, why do you need an AVI? There are lots of h264+AAC profiles that make MP4s–try the one for the Archos 7, which is posted here: http://club.cdfreaks.com/2220441-post19.html

Sorry, I wasn’t sure if here or there was the right forum cause I was talking about profile editor as well. Can you move it please?

I can’t get the xbox to even see an mp4 even though it is supposed to. I have downloaded the optional media update for it, too. So I figured making an avi would be the next thing to try.

I’d also like to know how to specify Baseline, Main or High for the video profile. I have not been able to figure it out from the read me or decipher the xml myself.
