Hello folks just met this unusual search engine address which suddenly appeared instead of my usual google.de startsite after I restarted a while ago, and I am right now searching for any suspicious thing in the system. Does anybody know something about this? I just panic when I suddenly meet such odd things in my laptop.

Issue solved, it was all because of this little naughty AppCleaner http://www.chip.de/downloads/AppCleaner_50900105.html which after installing alters the browser’s main page in a way that the search becomes “google customized” through gsrch.com, which is what appears in the location bar instead of google.com.

Dirty trick. Had to reset firefox in order to get rid of it.

Hola Ujan,

Glad you solved it. It seems it is another ad-ware. This is the usual case when a software is allegedly a freeware, but turns out it contains an ad-ware. Just the other day I was to install a good app, but I have found out that it contained several ad-aware. Needless to say I deleted the installer.

Phew, more than a week without net connection. What a dreadful digital fasting it was, man…

Well this was quite a nasty trick, for there was no option so as to let it alter one’s browser or anything whatsoever. It changed with no previous warning nor previous chance to allow it or not. The Free 3GP Video Converter uses a similar, though not so aggressive trick by installing an unwanted shortcut on the desktop which leads to kinda “showcase” of the firm’s other products. I deleted the shortcut, and found no other program than the 3GP I wanted to install…

Can I be infected with Gsrch.com virus because of ExtensionAce stream extension? It appeared right after installing this thing…
