I usually burn BeAll 4x printables in my two Pioneer 106D's (I like them because you can print full-face on them), but didn't use them in the Lite-on 851s I have because of the horrible results (very, very bad at the end of the disc). But on the Pioneers, they record beautifully. So, for the Lite-on, I stuck with Riteks.
Well, I recently updated the firmware to GS0F and what a difference! Hopefully my attachment works, but it's night and day difference. Same image file, same burner, same media - two hugely different results - only real difference was the firmware version. Using the GS08 firmware, the PI would start at 50 and steadily climb to 1200 at the end of the disc. Using GS0F, it would range from 50 to a max of 150! Plays perfectly.
