Graduation day

With the great help of this forum I graduated from the Nero wizard-ripped some cda files to my HD as wave files-did some wave editing and applied some filters-compiled and organized them and burned some killer cd’s. Tried saving them as mp3’s and burning them with Nero but had problems with buffer under runs. Finally got them burned but didn’t like the way they sounded. Could just be me but is that typical? Thanks again for this forum.

Nero’s MP3 decoder sucks. If you want to burn decent quality MP3s to an audio CD you’ll have to get an extrernal MP3 decoder. I use a program called MP3 Decoder from HPL software. The link doesn’t work anybody but a quick search should find it for you. Another thing you may want to do is just keep the ripped songs as wav, burn, and delete. If you compress them to MP3 you will lose quality.

If the files are precious to you and you want them to sound good as well,
then just burn them as .wavs ( the CAVEMAN’s suggestion ).
