Google On The Future Of Search

"Google has been speculating on how online search will develop over the next decade, and cloud computing and Internet connectivity will be important factors.

Google executives have been writing articles on the future of search, and a new piece by vice president of engineering Alfred Spector and research scientist Franz Och has speculated on what search might be like as the clock ticks over to 2019.

They see a much larger database of information, as well as far more devices with Internet capability, as well as the dominance of cloud computing."

Google and Yahoo need to try and figure out how the Internet will change and evolve over the years, if they want to stay relevant and keep making money. It’s even more critical, IMO, for Yahoo, which has been losing ground to Google at a huge rate.
