“Google Earth downloads temporarily delayed” =/

Just to let everyone know google earth has now stopped any new downloads for the time being.
Keep checking their website for when it’s back up again.

#4

Yeah, i couldn’t download it yesterday :(, looked again today and bingo i downloaded.

Keep trying, it is well worth it

#5

Yet another way google is going to obtain all the information in the universe, then destroy the universe so nobody else can have it (futurama).

This is pretty cool. Makes you wonder though, if google has these resources, what does the government have? They are watching.

#6

How useful is that information to me?
I think Mapblast would have provided a more detailed map of the locations.

#7

I’ve been trying to download for three days with no luck. One would think that Google, at least, would have decent servers.

#8

i checked today

Still down. No end in sight. Email said back on line shortly. Bull.

#11

Sorry you guys are missing out on it, its great fun! Google maps doesnt compare, i would send it to you guys who really want it but, when you start it up, it makes an account for you (you dont fill anything out), but it wont make anymore accounts until it is up 4 download again, so we are stuck there.

Keep tryin, worth the wait

#12

I got this a few days ago too, it’s actually much better than I was expecting. Google maps isn’t the same thing at all.

#13

"Something you should know about Google Earth (beta)…

Google Earth is a broadband, 3D application that not all computers can run.
Apple Macintosh computers are not supported at this time (but we are working on it).
Windows-based desktop PCs older than 4 years old may not be able to run it.
Windows-based notebook PCs older than 2 years old may not be able to run it.
