First thread on the forum, bear with me if I break rules from the start...!
I have problems with playback on an Optiarc CRX-880A.
Firstly I thought that the media quality (TDK -R x8) was to blame, so I have run a quality check with CD-DVD Speed (see attachment) using an NEC ND3530.
Returns a fairly good result, PIE less than 280, PIF at 4.
But my disk continues to stutter at 20 mins when played in the Optiarc- why?
I look after AV kit for a University, and am trying to prove that the copied disks provided by our library are of a poor quality resulting in playback problems. The results for some of their other disks return PIE in th thousands and PIF of around 60, yet these ones still play. I don't want to have to admit that my hardware is at fault, but is it going to come to that?
Any help would be much appreciated!
