and thanks for the responses. I did a little research myself and after talking with a TDK representative, I have to clearify: TDK does manufacture all its Blu-ray media themselves whereas the dvd media is mostly outsourced now.
So, I went for TDK BD-R(E) because my SW-5584 based burner seems to be optimized best for those and I like the Duarbis coating. And for the dvd media, well, Verbatim Archival Grade for important stuff and normal Verbatim for the rest. That should be a safe bet I guess... or at least I hope.
