Considering that their CPUS have been at 125watt TDP consumption in non-overclocked status for some time… this is a good idea… but it just copies what Intel is doing in the 22nm process already! Maybe power supply mfg’r wont’ be happy since they won’t sell as many 800+watt power supplies… doh!

It would be a good idea to get lower total power consumption on video cards as well… quite possibly so they can be powered by the bus again… well, maybe not… but you can dream…
