Glitch or hidden plus?

When I was burning a simple Data CD using my LTR-32123S (32x12x40) I was watching the cool new thing in CloneCD beta 4 that tells you the speed you are writing at. I had set the write speed to MAX. I noticed it steadily climbed up to around 32x (31.8) and stayed there for about 25 seconds. Then, it jumped up to 32, 34, 36, then 39.9! Holy poop!:eek: It stayed there for the rest of the burn (~30 seconds) Is that true? How did it get that high then? If it was writing that high I'm not complaining,:cool: but has anyone else seen CLone report wrong speeds?:confused:

yes, the speed indicator is wrong. Look at the log, the AVERAGE speed is lower than what u saw :stuck_out_tongue:

I think (hope) it is pretty accurate. It is normal that high speed burners write slow in the inner parts of a CDR and get faster on the outside.
