Girl smarter than Albert Einstein

A British teenager, who loves tanning, manicures and parties, is being hailed as smarter than Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates.

According to the Telegraph, Lauren Marbe, a 16-year-old from Loughton, Essex, has an IQ of 161. The straight-A student took the Mensa brain test with other high achievers from her school, and wound up getting a score that could be higher than some of the world’s most revered minds.

Now woman are going to take this away from us also, a man no longer being the Smartest ever. What are they going to take away from us next. And she is in England everyone knows the people of England are not that smart they sent us in the USA the Beatles.

Like This?

Ok if there is a test than who ever wrote the test is the smartest, that is their as smart as the test is.But who is smarter than the test or who wrote the test?

A high test score does not make a genius, IMO. Let’s see what she does with her intelligence before claiming she is smarter than Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking and Bill Gates. Potential means nothing unless it is converted to action through creativity.

So true and test can be made or written to make one look a Genius they are not. So how she uses and applies it will be the determination that she can make that claim. This is not a put down to woman of whom is more then 1/2 the population of the worlds population as well… hmm… But Genius is more then just test numbers. The essence must be there as well to really be a Genius…

I’m smarter than Einstein . He’s dead . Dead people aren’t smart any more.

I know what is meant but I couldn’t resist being a “smart” a$$.

I figure Stephen Hawking is smarter than me .

Bill Gates too but I have to bite my tongue when I say it .

Sometimes perceived genius is due to equal parts intelligence and luck.

Intelligence is a debatable thing compared to wisdom.

Someone with excellent fast recall can defeat the best
efforts of someone attempting to test them.

Someone with the ability to conceptualize dynamic 3-dimensional
complex mechanisms (technically four dimensional thinking), it
quite often diagnosed as “dislexic” when in fact a further
conceptual leap is required to express their thoughts in the
2-dimensional way that most people think of as “normal”…
OR how somewhat smarter people use mathmatics to express
dynamic interrelationships…

When someone like Sean White or a Race car drivers does it instinctively, but probably couldn’t balance a checkbook if their freedom or life depended on it.

Basically what I’m saying here is that it is all “relative” to use my Einstein pun.

Einstein had a high IQ, but not one that is particularly astounding.

Einstein was a man who was blessed with an ephiphany… several of them
What his intellegence did was enable him to recognize them for what they
were…

And as another wise man once said,
“An ephiphany is simply an unexpected cessation of stupidity”

Hell, it might have been Einstein who originally said it:)

However: “I never made one of my discoveries through the
process of rational thinking” - Albert Einstein

Generally about this Schoolgirl in england? she might have an IQ of 161,
but there is more than IQ, she might be as dumb as a box of rocks…
she might be a complete and hopeless fool.

means nothing if she might be as dumb as a box of rocks as long as she pretty.

Men were never that smart. You might have heard about Marilyn vos Savant. She was one of the first to solve the Monty Hall problem. Yet she still had to defend her explanation countless times. Lots of the outrage came from ‘smart’ men. Even Mythbusters proved she was right.

She hasn’t invented anything yet unlike Einstein that’s why she is still unknown to most.

I agree 100%. To go one further, I have found that there is a huge difference between book smart and common sense. Plenty of people out there with Masters Degrees and Doctorates that would easily qualify as Darwin Award candidates. Just because you score really high on a test doesn’t make you a real genius (no pun intended on the classic film with Val Kilmer).

I thought all females thought they were smarter. Turns out men are smarter for allowing the females to think that they are smarter…

#15

now there another girl what are we men going to do with women being smarter that Einstein

Move over Albert Einstein, Neha Ramu has you beat.

Ramu, 12, achieved the highest possible score of 162 on the Mensa IQ test, the Telegraph reports. To put it in perspective, that’s a higher IQ than Einstein, Bill Gates or Stephen Hawking, who are all believed to have a score around 160.

The high score places Ramu, the daughter of Indian eye specialists in London, in the top 1 percent of intelligence ratings among people in the United Kingdom, according to Asian News International.

Enstein never worried about his hair and makeup and give women a choice of shoe color and styles ,well I hope you packed a lunch.Heaven help up if they can alter that gene.

#17

One thing’s for sure: The journalists that keep making these hyperbolic headlines are NOT smarter than Einstein, Hawking et.al. :disagree:

#18

Journalism is dead as a medium of conveying the truth and useful knowledge.

Remind me what the theoretical thinker Einstein actually “invented”

He made a conceptual leap that OTHERS* used as a spring
board to “invent things”.

*“Others” = Enrico Fermi, Robert Oppenheimer and Edward Teller in that specific order,
because these four men are essentially the major " links in the chain" from odd, "useless
but “interesting” materials and the Atomic bomb, Hydrogen Bomb and Nuclear power.

Which Einstein had very little to do with, other than lending his signature to a letter written to president Roosevelt that essentially caused the creation of what became the Manhattan Project.

If these ladies are really so smart, I’d like to see them apply their intelligence to something. Then I might be interested.
