Drive works fine until a blank disc is inserted then BSOD.
Tried many things, uninstalled everything I can think of, changed software and replaced with a new drive and cable.
Must be something on my machine.
Win7 and imgburn. Did have ulead burning helper installed.
TIA

I do not know, happened too long ago.
I was in tech support but that seems to have been too long ago also.

What’s the BSOD say?
What’s the BSOD say?
It is actually the Black Screen. Straight to restart.

#9

I had a a blue screen ages ago which has been replaced by a black screen.
Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

#10

Does the drive work in another PC? Have you tried blanks CD’s & DVD of a few different brands? Different SATA cable? Different SATA port?

#11

Yes. Yes. Yes and Yes.

#12

Have you looked at the Windows system logs for any clues?

#13

If you have a restore point made before this behavior began, go back to it.
