Trust me when I tell you that it’s not that impressive, at least, not anymore. They used to carry loads of great media, but it all sat on the shelves and “rotted” away (not literally, but metaphorically) because they would never discount it below MSRP. Now, all that old and good media is gone for good. All that’s left is junk.
They only started advertising their non-house brand media and putting on regular sales within the last 6-months. I swear to you that what I say is true. In the entire history of Fry’s existence, they NEVER used to have advertised sales on rotating media brands like other stores, and some of their media was NEVER discounted below MSRP. NEVER. I repeat, NEVER EVER. Eventually, the stuff that never sold either got sent back to the manufacturer or auctioned off in bulk. It was never clearanced, it just disappeared. I kid you not.
Fry’s had the most incompetent blank media pricing scheme in the history of retail, literally.
Truly one of the great tragedies in blank media history.
