I’ve always been surprised that large corporations ability to pump massive dollars at lawsuits, hasn’t been impeded someones right to a fair trial. Good on geohot for raising funds, but with all the RIAA/MPAA rackateering that goes on, how can a person get a fair trial when there using pro bone (or extremely budget lawyers) and the corporations are throwing huge wads of cash for teams of the best lawyers. I’m really surprised cases haven’t been thrown out for violating someones right to a fair trial.

Depends on the lawyer, how knowledgeable they are on the subject, and whether there is any actual crime committed.

Sony’s “don’t f&$k with me” lawsuit is fear-mongering, plain & simple. Spreading fear is terrorism, plain & simple. Sony need to be handed their marching orders, and heads should roll, at sony sce.
