Typically is DVD-RW more compatiable with older set top DVD players than DVD+RW?
Just trying to determine the best way to make a DVD that has the best potential of compatability.
Typically DVD-R is said to be more compatible with older standalone dvd players, yes.
Thanks. That is what I thought.
I have a Panasonic RV31 and it wont read DVD+RW no matter what the booktype but my newer cheaper DVD/VCR reads it fine. My Pioneer DVD-ROM 106 also wont read them.
Guess I'll give DVD-RW a shot.
TRy a DVD Recordable (-R) and not Rewritable media (-RW) as it might not read that either.
Thanks. I'm goign to give a DVD+R a try next to see if it will work. Was just hoping to use RW is possible so that I can test to make sure all works fine.
DVD-R however might be overall better since then my PC DVD would read it too.
