[qanda]This thread is about the Lite-On SOHW-1693S. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Ok, I have a Verbatim DVD-R that I wrote to about a month ago. I was going through and needed to get some info off it, and it constantly is being seen as either Blank (Writer drives) or bad/not there (readers).
Now then, I have disks burned over a year ago with no problems, and other disks from this same batch with no problems. I think I hit a bad on in the batch, and this is the first Verbatim disk I had go bad. (Been using about 2 years now)
I believe the TOC is either corrupt, or faded, but I can't seem to get anything to read past it either. I have tried a number of programs to read the disk, but I have had no luck what so ever. Any help is greatly appreciated, and all info about the system and storage is below.
Lite-On SOHW-1693S (Same drive that the disk was written to)
Have tried these readers – Asus E616A2, Xbox 360 DVD drive, and the Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on.
Disks are kept in cake boxes, properly closed. (The disks are not needed often.) All boxes have either a empty clear plastic disk or a bad CD at the bottom. There are no scratches, dust, or markings on the problem disk, or any other disks. Disks are handled on the edges at all times.
The content is large files, between 100 and 600MB each.
