Full Disc burning problems

Hi, new to the forum.

I’ve used DVDfab on and off for the last few years, and have recently updated to version 6 (6.0.2.0 to be exact, but the problem I am about to describe was also occuring with version 4).

Just trying to copy a DVD to a DVD+R (4.7 GB), going through the standard motions on the Full Disc. The DVD appears to rip fine, and when prompted I replace the source disc with te DVD+R. Burn process begins, and begins to write only a small portion (.14-.17%) then freezes, and my computer locks up. Tried several times with a couple different DVD’s, same result. I then tried just burning the Main Movie, which was successful. I’m guessing that something is going wrong in the compression process as it is burning, as when I successfully wrote just the main movie, it was small enough that it could be burned without being compressed. Has anyone encountered this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Try updating to the latest version which is 6.0.4.0 and give that a shot

Can you please forward the log from the last failed burn?

It’ll help zero in on the problem.

You can find it at:

C:\Documents & Settings\Your Name\My Documents\Applications\dvdfab\logs

Just cut and paste.

Just tried again, and now it’s working, couldn’t tell you why it’s working now. I may be back on if it starts messing up on me again.

Thanks again.
