Any idea if these are good? How do you know and how can I tell in the future?

Just seems like a good price

Nice price, thanks for the info. I will get me some! On line they be out of stock!:bigsmile:

Either RITEKD01 or RICOHJPND00. In the future, go here:

and perform a search.

If it isn’t MIS IMHO it’s not worth bothering with for DL media.

My 2 burners Benq 1650 and Pioneer 111 burners seem to love the Fujifilm DL (Ritek D01). Haven’t had a coaster whether the content is a movie or xbox 360. This is also true for me with Sony Ritek D01 as well as Verbatim MKM001.

I don’t have as much luck with Ricoh based ID, however.

My experiences with Ritek over the past couple of years have been that it can be OK in the first area but rarely so in the second. :frowning:

Perfect, thanks for that link!

Now is there a nice page like that that will tell me how to tell the difference when in the store looking at the package?

Seems like even the verbatims could be hit and miss…there must be a way to tell the difference?

Verbatim DVD+R DL rated 2.4x Made in Singapore seems to be best.

How can you tell the difference, especialy online if it doesn’t say where it’s made?

Is there a packaging difference?

buying these media is a waste of money
and in responding the the previous poster, you have no way to tell MIS or MIT or MII from buying online and thus no1 wants to buy Verbatim online unless peeps that dont care then they buy whatever.

There is if you go with the 8x official rated DL DVD+R Verbatims. All of the are still MIS at this point. Anyways, I concur that outside of the 8x official DL Verbatims, that all other DL media is a waste.

I buy it online, and here in Germany I’ve not seen MII yet.

And even they would deliver MII, I would send them back within 2 weeks.

What is the word on choosing the best burn speed? The slower the better?

BTW Chef, you’d probably like Frank Zappa, yes? Kinda South Park humor on
CD’s like Joe’s Garage and Overnight Sensation

Depends always on the burner/media combo.
I would choose 4x for the Verbatim 2.4x rated DVD+R DL.

Kinda South Park humor on CD’s

I don’t think I know them yet.

Frank Zappa- Joe’s Garage Disc one…

Thanks, will check it out.

What really bugs me is that Ricohjpn cannot even make a decent working low DL media at 2.4X, they introduced 8X and 16X DL media. The old addage says: learn to crawl first before you can learn how to run. They cannot even making 2.4X DL media with 90% working rate after burning, why are they introducing 16X DL??

BB is sucks the price $78.99for 25 pack of DL is the most expensive one I have seen lately plus 2.4X is belong the past and is not so slow that is not worth considering it.
