Thanks HenryNettles fir the information and have a “Happy Holiday”. I am wondering what kind of Samsung DVR it is that is on sale for $49.99?.

I’m not sure. The SKU does not show up on their site (I searched for it). I quoted everything from the ad except for a picture, and the fine print:

Limit 1 per customer. Limited to quantities on hand. No substitions, and no rainchecks on this item.

A search on Google returned a lot of hits about a 16 channel DVR (security system?). And a few hits about their DirecTivo, which I am assuming this is not.

After thinking about it for a few minutes, maybe this Samsung DVR is intended for a security system. I added a “(sic)” to the part about 4000 hours on an 80GB hard drive, but just maybe that wasn’t a mistake after all. Very low res pics from a security camera, it very well could be.

Thanks for the tip OP.

I picked up:

Crucial DDR2 PC5300 Dual Memory

(2x1GB) modules
$44.99 minus $25 mail-in-rebate == $19.99

That is a ridiculous good price. Turned out to be the exact same Samsung/Crucial sticks that came in my Dell PC, so I’ve got a perfect match to 4GB (really 3.1GB thanks to Windows).
