I have Total Video Converter on one PC and have always been able to convert dvd files (first edited from dvd with dvd shrink, using re-author) to divx or vidx and upoad it on YouTube. I added each dvd file seperately in Total Video Converter and together put in a list, converted them to the desired format.
Now I have bought a 2nd and much better PC and I don't know how to get this software program Total Video Converter on this 2nd PC too? is it possible? To retrieve my original registration code?
How is this program rated anyway, among experts? Are there better (simpler) ones?
On this same 2nd PC I have tried various free (trail) versions of video converters to convert the dvd files but none of them work. Not even the trail version (but newer version) of Total Video Converter, which I already mentioned having the paid-for version of on PC nr. 1 (the old one).
So, let's take the free trial software program Any Video Converter. I have made a 7 minutes video file off of a dvd using dvd shrink.
Then I open Any Video Converter, and when I click on "add files" It only shows the first file and I can only add that first part of the files. It says media files: all types in the file types option. When I select "All Files" instead it shows all 5 original files. But these cannot be selected all together.
So there are these files in reality:
Then only VTS_01_1 (the first one) appears to be selectable. When I do select this, I only have a 23 second clip! That I then to convert to another format. But this is useless of course.
What am I doing wrong and why? What should I be doing?
