In this respect, Windows 8 is better than Android, which absolutely will not let you uninstall the preincluded crapware unless you crack your device’s security and gain root access.

I love having root access to everything I own. There’s nothing wrong with needing root access (at least, not imho), but when you are denied root (unless you crack the OS), that’s where I have a problem. This is made worse when you need root access to remove programs, as you should have a right to decide which programs are installed on what is supposedly your device.
