It’s a very smart decision, as testified by MBA’s everywhere.
Pity that MBA’s have their heads in the cloud, and have no concept of reality.
This reminds me of that saying…
“in theory, there’s no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.”
Honestly this seems like a real on-paper it looks good solution. It ticks the boxes for a business plan, but ignores the reality that customers aren’t prepared to wait an entire week for their series fix, and that the online of getting from fox is significantly inferior to illegal/pirates offerings. Seriously, they can watch the next episode live before they can watch the catchup episode online.
Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb…
if you have a newgroups account any popular tv series can be downloaded within a couple of hours of being broadcast

Which means that pirates could potentially download this weeks episode, automatically, while law abiding citizens are still waiting to see last weeks episode…
Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb …
A 1 hour show can have as much as 35 minues of commercials. Yes! 35 minutes. In the UK it’s only about 12 minutes… by regulation! So if fox wants to put on a 25 minute drama and expect people to waste a whole hour to watch it they are out of their friggen minds!
So, “PIRACY” increases? I say good! These bastards already gouged the cable companies for more “SUBSCRIPTION” & “RETRANSMISSION” money to the tune of MILLION OF DOLLARS, so I saw SCREW THEM! They’re alrady paid UPFRONT… if people don’t wanna watch the B/S commericals, too bad.
BTW, this goes for any channel, broadcast or cable!
