Flashing 111D 1.23 to 1.29...not possible? WinXP 64 & Jmicron

Hey guys the only ide channel i have on my motherboard has a Jmicron chipset and i tried using the original Pioneer flasher, but it keeps saying “device not found” and will not let me flash. I tried using DVRFlash but it doesn’t support the 111D. Any suggestions?

Try to put Nero wnaspi32.dll in the same directory as the flasher… :flower:

Perhaps you are mixing 111 and 111D firmware?

Can you post the information output by DVRFLASH -v

DVRFlash v2.2 : Pioneer DVR firmware flasher
by Agent Smith, et al., November 2005

Commandline:
dvrflash -v

Device parameter was not given, detecting all DVR drives:

  Revision : 1.23

    Status : RPC-2 (region locked)
    Region : 1
Changes : 4 region changes remaining
             4 vendor resets remaining
             state is 'Region set'

    Device : D:
    Vendor : PIONEER
     Model : DVD-RW DVR-111D

    Region : 1

Now run DVRFlash again, from the command prompt, using
one of the device(s) listed above as first parameter

Press the Return key to exit

A0812001.129 is the firmware and the wnaspi.dll from the nero didn’t work either :frowning:

The problem is your ide conx/chipset, indeed.
Try in SAFE MODE and also in REAL DOS, it might help.

From which package have you got this firmware?

i got the firmware from pioneer’s site. i gotta try safe mode. i tried ms-dos with no luck

Perhaps we were thinking of DVRFlash -v X: where X is the drive letter for the drive. We are trying to get it to display some of the OEM details, because at the moment it looks like that might be the problem, as the files you mention seem valid.

We can probably build the stock firmware into one of our flashers if need be. Drop us an email at tdb@rpc1.org if you want to persue this.

If it doesn’t see the drive, the WNASPI32.DLL trick might be applicable.
