Mozilla will no longer sell devices running the Firefox OS, it’s alternative operating system for mobile devices. The development of the OS continues but no more phones with Firefox OS will be sold.

Mozilla will no longer sell devices running the Firefox OS, it’s alternative operating system for mobile devices. The development of the OS continues but no more phones with Firefox OS will be sold.
That’s the nature of O/S some remain and some goes away. As long as the Broswer remains I will continue to use FireFox Browser on Android and Windows. Android was too to handle and was a GodSend for Google and it’s open platform more or less killed any other trying to get in on the fun.

It’s too bad Firefox OS never managed to take off. I’ve been highly disappointed in Android, both due to low-quality apps and it’s lack of user control. IMHO, nothing’s worse than getting a new O/S and discovering that you don’t have root/admin rights to the device. Except maybe the knowledge that the majority of apps have adware installed (if there’s adware, there’s probably spyware as well).
