Are you saying that this is a pci card, not a pci express card? Ati tool can overclock it and test for stability.
The problem is, pci slot bandwidth can severely limit video card performance. Its quite possible that your card is already much faster than the pci slot can handle (so the pci slot is acting as a bottle neck). Try benchmarking it, then overclock a little, and benchmark again. If you are getting no improvement in benchmarks, then overclocking further, or at all isn’t going help performance, as you have already maxed out what the pci slot can handle. Thats why the only pci cards you see are old, slow cards like 9550’s and 5200’s. Faster cards would provide no benefit. I suspect the only advantage to even go to a 2400 would be things like the unified video decoder etc.
Yeah well I do have the Visiontek Hd2400 pci not express and I know pci sucks but after about 25% oc I am getting faster fps but ant further there is no improvement and ATI tool is working great
