in school we started our Linux class and we are using Fedora 12, so on my home PC I installed Fedora 16 and decided to check the space used in my file system so I opened computer right clicked on file system and hit properties and it says I am using over 140TB.
a search for files over 1TB revealed /proc/kcore to be the cause.
after doing a little searching I found people saying these are imaginary files so I was hoping I could somehow make it show up as 0 bytes so I can get an accurate reading of how much space I am really using
EDIT: I forgot to mention I am running Fedora 16 on a VM using VMware
EDIT 2: ok opening system monitor and clicking on the filesystem tab shows the real usage disregard this post
