lately i’ve been receiving this message when I attempt to back up dvd’s.
“Failed when writing DVD Image Hardware 12290”
I’ve checked my system and accordingly every thing is operational.

I’ve attempted to copy dvd to hard disk then to dvd, no luck.

has anybody else received this message?
is it a problem with my software or hardware?

which program are you using?

Gold 12290 = “Cannot read medium-incompatible format.” Imporant [Are you trying to use MCDB burning engine since this is a MCDB code? Try using the VSO because MCDB is out dated.]

Express 12290 = “Error_IFOfileMissing”
