i burnt 2 DL media, all coasters
Verbatim and Mitsubishi Chemicals. both share same media id.

A102 no prob.

anyone with NOAD burn DL media flawlessly?

So far I have burnt 3 DL discs with my LG4120 - All MKM001

All have been flawless, the first with A102, the other 2 with N0AD (N0AD-R06 from Kenshin’s link)

I have posted some scans in this thread on another forum

There are many I know who have produced flawless DL disks with N0AD. Of course, I’m one of them. I didn’t test A102 myself but I didn’t think it was necessary because A102 doens’t support DVD-ROM for Plus bitsetting or “ROM-conversion” as some liked to call it.

Here’s the scan from my most recently burnt MKM001 using firmware N0AD - R06

Nero gave perfect burn.
the issue is, the disc got read back problem. i tried on tdk1280, tdk combo 523252BC(latest N7E3 f/w),lg4082 A206 , and even LG4120 itself…read back was slow and hanged windowsxp…wonder whats the prob.
A102 so far ok for me though…hm…

cant perform neroscandisc coz the reading was lagging and causing windows explorer stop responding.

flashed back to A102 alredi. reading back the problem disc with more ability. at least explorer did not hang, but still very very slow. take out that disc. scare my drive really problem so i put in the previous disc burnt on A102. it read flawlessly. so NOAD for me at least dun work well, but work for others. hm…still dun understd why.2 DL coasters …heart pain …

i forced a nero scandisc on the problem disc. when coming to 50% of scan ( the end of layer 1) errors started to appear tremendously.

@Kenshin

That’s an interesting drive you have there:

Sorry, it was just part of what I played with Lite-On 851S/812S/832S and Omnipatcher. :bigsmile:
