It’s time to bring out the heavy artillery, blogg these monsters out of existence!:r

Welcome to the new corporate reality where you the consumer have no rights, and are already guilty of committing crimes against the establisment. Let us punish all those that purchase our product so that those who try to do anyting we do not want, we can track and arrest for anything we deem. Seriously, what is to stop these companies from using these root kits to place kiddie porn and such on users computers and then getting them arrested or pulling and RIAA and flooding their computers with mp3’s and extorting them? You may not think it can happen, but how many computerless people have to be sued before the sheeple realize the corporations have all the power in the USA, and there is not much that can be done to stop them, at this time.

I guess this tears it. Before you put a store bought CD or DVD in your computer, fire up a backup program (one that blocks the autorun feature) and copy the contents to a backup with the protections removed, then use the backup in your 'puter. Not fool proof, but should work most of the time until the rootkit’ers start figuring a way around that.

If you are thinking about buyin a dvd with this stuff on it - don’t. If you buy one with it - return it before opening. If you’ve opened it - return it as defective. If enough folks do this consistently, they’ll get the message.
