External enclosure conflits on my laptop

I have a BYTECC ME-535ISA-BK drive enclosure that works very well on my desktop no matter which drive I connect. However when I plug it into my newer laptop(MSI A6200) the mouse pad freezes and I cant really do anything. It can play a disc. I have to turn off the enclosure to get the mouse to work again. Any ideas??? I am going to try plugging a mouse in to see if that works.

Hm. The user feedback for this enclosure on newegg.com don’t look promising :frowning:

Better return for a refund?

Problem solved. It worked fine with a plug in mouse instead of the tracking pad. I have used this enclosure for over a week now with both Sata and IDE drives and it works great. Most times only problems get listed in feedback.

I’d rather consider that a workaround
Okay, perhaps your touchpad drivers are buggy. Check if there are newer versions.
