how to set up lilo goto system tools/system control/and it will ask for login and password
login=admin
password=666
now your in select hardware and lilo boot configuration and you can modify lilo!!

we use a reiser file system by default.its much faster then say ext3 or xfs.in the early days reiser had problems before kernel 2.4.17 but now it is a good robust and mature files system to use ,but its early development one had problems recovering during a coldboot or powerfailure bit nowadays it recovers better.

its our recommendation to install on a primary master drive(/dev/hda)
there are problem on some machines installing a dual boot of windows/linux on the same hard drives (as with any linux distro)
because when someone want to defrag windows there is a danger of the defrag also partioning the linux side(augh!)

ill look into these options yuo desire.there is talk of including a visual installer.

hey i said we were talking about a visual installer.remember Kloss makes all the decisions.

as far as making it more like redhat or mandrake
we are not.

the most unix distro is slackware(we love slack!!)

but our distro differs from slack somewhat because its the best multimedia linux there as it is right now.

mplayerxp coming later on blows xine out of the water!:smiley:

yes slackware doesnt have special setups or installers.you have to do everything but it is the best linux hands down when you become knowledgable and more comfortable with it.

those of you wishing to try out mplayerxp(not mplayer)should download and compile the source code youll be amazed!!
