First post in the Pioneer forum.
I purchased a 50 pack of LONGTEN001 DVD-R media.
The discs were purchased at www.shop4tech.com as 4X thermal printable media.
This media is very crappy! When burnt on my NEC 2500A or LiteOn 411s, PI/PO scans are always above ‘recommended’ values.
So I figured I would give this media a shot in a friends’ Pioneer 105.
First up is a DVDInfoPro shot of the burner info:
Here is a PI/PO error scan done on the disc, which was burned with the Pioneer 105.
Drive: LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-411S
Disc: DVD-R (LONGTEN 001)
Selected speed: 4 X
PO failures: n/a
Number of samples: 123200
Average scanning interval: 1.16 ECC
Glitches removed: 0
And here we have the DVDSpeed transfer rate test:
Conclusion: This media is very sucky! But the NEC2500A burns it the best!
