eSATA external enclosure recommendations?

Bought an external 1TB Hitachi drive and the enclosure stinks. It’s constantly power cycling during idle and it’s just annoying. So I’m looking to take the drive out and put it in an eSATA enclosure.

I see a lot say they only support up to 500GB. Is that really the case? Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Would like it to be 3gb/sec, don’t care about Firewire and no or small power brick is appreciated.

Thanks!

Here is a nice externalenclosurefor up to 1TB drives.

Wow, that is pretty fancy looking. Tick more than I wanted to spend though. But not out of contention.

What are your thoughts on this one?

Looks like it will serve you needs; the one I linked to has a massive cooling fan, which is the reason I went for it.

This is the cheapest one on newegg that says it can support a 1Tb HDD. Link
