Error with LiteOn 12101B

vbimport

#1

I can,t burn anything with clonecd. I have version 4.0.1.9.
It worked with the older version I had before.
Now I always get an error when it's up to about 5%.
It says: HARDWARE ERROR

What can I do to make it work?

#2

well the first thing i would do is update your firmware to the newest version which u can get here

http://home.online.no/~magdyr/Firmware/Lite-On/LTR-12101B/windows/Ls3J23.zip

then try using clone cd

#3

I updated the firmware, but it still gives me the same error.
Should I use the older version of clonecd again?

#4

The error I get says:
“Writing to CD failed, HARDWARE ERROR: NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION (4:0x08:0x03)”

I didn’t get this error with earlier versions.

A hardware error indicates a problem with the drive itself. Can you burn with the drive with other software like Nero? Via our search function you can read other reports on the same error. It can be media related. Good luck!

#6

With other software the drive works. It also worked with older versions of clonecd.

this is just a guess but try uninstalling clone cd then rebooting then reinstalling it rebooting then try to burn a cd with clone cd

note: use cd-rw media so u dont waste cd-r’s
