I needed to get a file onto my computer that is 3.8GB. Its stuff contained in a folder. I can’t DL it from the net because I’m on dial-up, so it would take forever. I went over to a friends house and burned it onto a DVD-DATA disk - a DVD - RW 4.7GB. When I brought it home and tried to get it working, nothing happened. I kept trying it and nothing. I went over to his house again and burned it onto a DVD + RW 4.7GB disk. When I brought it home and put it in, it started making the loading sound etc, but nothing came up, so I went to my computer and clicked the icon, and this came up:
Windows cannot read this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows.
When I put in the DVD - RW CD, instead of nothing happening this time, I got the above error. I’ve tried rebooting with either CD in, and it doesn’t work.
My driver is (Panasonic) MATSHITA DVD-ROM SR-8586
Release: 13 Nov 2001
Update: 12 Dec 2003
Can someone help me please? How do I fix this error?
