The proper way to uninstall/reinstall Norton - New!

The error message you are receiving does point to a corrupted installation of Norton. Please carefully follow the steps below to resolve this issue.
Please follow the steps below to properly uninstall and reinstall Norton to resolve this problem.
- Click on the link below, and carefully follow the instructions to use the Norton Removal tool:

After the tool has run and removed all Norton products, restart your computer. Log into Windows and run the tool again. Restart your computer after it finishes running a second time.
Make sure that your internet connection is working properly and then reinstall your Norton product.
When the installation is complete, launch Norton and manually run LiveUpdate to get the latest program and definition patches applied.
Perform a "Full System Scan" to check for infections.
