Error message on window XP

Hello everyone, I’m new here and don’t know if this is the right forum to post my question.

I was working with my pc this morning and at that time there’s no problem. When i arrived at home after work I boot my PC and now it can’t open my system and there’s an error saying that “Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: gystEM32IDRI.ERSIpci sys” how can I fix this?

If this is a windows fault boot up from you windows cd and and repair windows from from the repair console.
I could not find any file remotely like the one displayed so the name is probably corrupt. Can you boot into safe mode? This would also be a good place to start, it is possible that you have a virus or similar that has screwed your system and if you cannot clean this out the best way forward is to format the hard drive and reinstall all your software.
