Hello All,

Im having a problem with burning things on DVD with my NEC DVD combo drive. I have tried three different softwares so im bent to think that this is a hardware or a driver related issue.

I seem to get the error message “cannot write medium - invalid disk type” and this is something that i dont understand, i am using a blank DVD-R disk and the burning sofware regonises that.

Here is the info from Nero’s infotool:

Welcome to CDF’s:

What kind of media are you using? Use Nero CD-DVD Speed on Disc Info tab.

Perhaps upgrading your firmware will help.

Nope!
2.40 is FSC OEM and this drive already has the latest firmware.
