Error backing up xbox 360 Games

I have been trying to get my burner working I started out on vista and I had some errors so I reformatted my pc and started clean with windows xp pro. Yesterday I tried burning a game and it was successful and today I tried again and now it is not working. Just wondering if anyone can help me with my problem. I have:

-LG DVD DL(HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NS30) for burning
-Samsung(TSSTcorp DVD-ROM SH-D163C SC01) for backing up
-Modded Xbox 360 with iXtreme 1.51 Installed
-Memorex DVD+R DL for media(I know verbatim is better but I have a bunch of these and seemed to work in the past just fine)

I receive this error somewhere between 18-27 percent in IMGBURN

I have tried burning at different speeds 2,2.4,4 and have double checked all my settings and change my booktype everytime prevoiusly to burning. I use “Xbox_Backup_Creator_v2.8.0.275” for backing up all of my images. I have tried using the write utility on Xbox Backup Creator also and I get the same error. If anyone could be of some help it would be greatly appreciated.

i would use ImgBurn (www.imgburn.com) for burning your backups in general and use Verbatim discs.

yes, i know you used Memorex in the past but there probably inconsistent to where you probably hit a bad batch of discs.

Verbatim DVD+R DL (made in singapore) is your only ‘safe’ bet for burning 360 games

Alright thanks for your input. I just don’t understand how the media can make that much of a difference. I just purchased 20 verbatim 2.4x made in singapore dvd+R DL. I’ll post again after try this again with the new disk’s thanks.

I have came to confirm that did work for me. I just finished backing up 2 games successfully. Verbatim disks did actually make that big of a difference I was quite surprised. Thank you NBR for your help it is greatly appreciated.
