Epson RX680 down to $85.00 at Epson store

Was a good deal at $100.00 last I looked. At $85.00/shipped, better grab one quick if you’ve been thinking about it. Been using mine w/CISS for a year and love it:clap:. Epsonstore/clearance center/all-in-ones. Find an example of disc printing at http://club.cdfreaks.com/f123/direct-disc-printing-printable-cds-dvds-261767/#post2224298

Yes, very good printer. Had mine for about 3 months and still using the original carts. I have printed about 150 discs.

Where did you find it for $85.00? Epson store is $109.99:confused: and out of stock. probably sold out fast.

Epson store drop-down tab at top, clearance center, click on all-in ones link, and there it is:flower:.http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=63074515

It’s been that price for quite awhile now… those are their refurbs.

I bought it for 109.00 about a month ago. Great printer. Plus it came with a full set of carts and a USB cable.

Go CISS when those cart run down. $45.00 for filled CISS. Printed 100+ 8x10 and covers, 100’s of discs at premium quality, 100+ 4x6, everyday plain paper research/receipts. Black reservoir still 1/3 full, others 1/2 full. A frugal man’s dream come true(that’s right, it’s frugal, not cheap:))

One last thing. Bought mine as refurb from Epsonstore. Also paid $109.00:(. But worth every penny, and then some. My experience w/Epson refurbs has been 100% positive.

Thanks for the information rookie and dean, I got mine new for $79.99 and @alan I’m still using the original carts too.

Thanks, I will check it out. I have 14 HY(high yield) OEM carts that I paid $69.99 shipped. It will be quite some time before I need more.

I grabbed some “78s” on sale at Costco for cheap, so I have plenty of Ink for now.

:cop: "grabbed some ", alan! shame on you, stealing at your age:p.
thanks for the tip. I will have to check my local Costco too.

I wish I was aware of this printer prior to the recent purchase of my HP C4480 All-In-One.

I would have gladly invested the extra cash for this Epson.
It looks like a great unit and it appears to be highly recommended.

As they say, a day late and a dollar short.

Ouch. Sorry Nemesys. I’ve mentioned the $109.00 deal they had it at in a few other threads, but wasn’t till I saw it for $85.00 that I was inspired to post in the bargain basement. Shoulda mentioned it sooner:o.

@jamescooley 1 : Nice score on those carts:iagree:.

Looks like they are out of stock right now but taking orders

I thought you said OEM carts:confused:. Still a good deal for compats:). But I’m tellin’ ya, it’s a beautiful thing leaving cartridge shopping, non-epson warning, ink level watching, cartridge refilling days behind. And unlike some other printers I’ve installed CISS in, w/ 680 there’s no added noise from tube movement, and install is simple. 680 just begs for a CISS:iagree:.

For the sake of keeping things as simple as they should be here, sorry for not getting a direct link to the printer in my first post(sunspots that day, I think:o). Those not needing to see what other members are thinking about this printer, here is the direct link http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=63074515

Have fun out there:D.
Decided to put my money where my mouth is and just ordered another spare myself;)

First, want all to know that the only thing I gain by posting this is the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing I may have saved one of you from the grief of living w/ a poorly designed CISS. Been there myself. Too many times. Been using this for a year without trouble(though I always remove the adhesive pad from tubing holder after I’m satisfied w/ positioning of tubing and super-glue it in place-learned that lesson the hard way w/ first 3 CISS-do it automatically w/ all CISS since). Here’s the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Bulk-ink-system-CIS-CISS-for-Epson-RX580-RX680-RX595_W0QQitemZ140301961625QQcmdZViewItemQQptZBI_Toner?hash=item140301961625&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1240|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50.
Crazy busy at work:clap:, I’ll post pics tonight when I have time.

Took another look at sellers page, only pic he doesn’t have there is what the reservoir looks like after 1 year of printing 100’s of discs, covers, 8x10, 4x6, and text. Looks like I might have to buy more black ink at around 16 months:sad:. RX680 been the least ink-thirsty Epson I’ve owned. Think if you check back through CISS seller’s feedback, you’ll see why I took a chance on him.

And jflan, special thank you from my wife for getting me to clean up my desk:flower:.
