Epson r800 ink

I have an Epson R800 printer and wanted to know where to find genuine Epson cartridges that don’t cost out the wazoo. The cheapest ones I found on ebay for an 8 pacl was $92 and some change. I have been using compatible ones, but the ones I just got on Ebay were the worst ones I have ever used and took over an hour for the printer to recognize I had any ink at all. The brand was Nano Digital. I never bought that brand before. Last cpl. times I bought ink on Ebay, I got the “Handsome” brand. They seemed to work pretty well. Too bad Epson charges you way too much for genuine ink. I’d like to know what the best compatible is, in your opinion as well. I was doing a Google search and read that Jet Tec was rated pretty high for compatible ink, but they are in the UK and I have yet to see where to buy them anywhere. Anywho…Thanks in advance if ya can help.

1 other thing…has anyone used ink from ink.manufactory? Just wanted to know how the prints came out of ya have.

I’m interested too. I hate paying so much for ink and I love the printer.

same here…I love the printer…this is my 2nd one after the original would no longer power on due to a power surge. Hope someone helps us out.

Well I ordered 1 set thru ebay from ink.manufactory. I will test it on my 2nd epson r800 printer which i have not used in a couple of months because of no ink. Hopefully it’s not clogged up and after a cycle or two of cleaning, test them out. If they are good, i will definitely buy more. They said that they will ship Monday. I will post my results when i get them.

looking forward to your results. Another seller on ebay is selling Pro-jet Branded ink…anyone ever use that brand?

I found another brand of ink “VITA” from vitainkphoto on ebay. Anyone ever used this brand?

Hey I received my Ink this past Friday. I used it this morning on 2 inkjet printable dvd’s. I switched all cartridges to this new ink. Did 5 head cleaning, I still have a bit of a clog. But since it takes so much ink to clean the damm thing i stopped. I Then printed 2 dvd’s, well I was happy. I use Surething Software (Love it) and I had seetings for photo. It looked good. I can’t say great since i still have to get a clean nozzle check and so far i don’t. Will I buy more? I will. When i get home i will utilize the whole ink to clean printer and then re-order. But for the price I can’t complain. I still need to test on photo paper and look closely at quality. Hope this helps.

I hate when I have to do so many head cleanings. They are selling them in a 16 pack though…let me know when ya get a clean nozzle check and how the prints turn out .

Will do. I just hope i get a clean pattern.

Great ink; either their refillable or CIS systems.

Print on a Dime:

No, I haven’t tried Image Specialists inks, although I know some of the Canon guys like I.S. inks for Canon. Image Specialists markets inks for most all of the popular inkjet printers.

I am extremely happy with Hobbicolors inks for my Canons. Hobbicolors markets inks for Canon printers only.
If I couldn’t get Hobbicolors, I’m sure that I would be equally happy with Image Specialists.

It is important to note that Epson inks and Canon inks are not interchangeable.

Thanks jflan, i ordered a set to try from Image Specialists. I will try them and give feedback here. Thanks alot.

I’ve used Premium purchased from *Databazaar in a Epson Stylus Color 600 with satisfactory results. I have no idea as to who the ink manufacturer is.

*Databazaar is good because they offer both genuine and generic carts at fair prices. Shipping is always free with no minimum purchase.

Thanks for the info…I’ll hafta check out that site.

Checked that site out, but only found OEM Epson ink for $13 and some change a piece.
