22 DVD’s in 12 month…thats nothing, I have myself and I know of at least 2 other people who have purchased in excess of 100 dvds within the last 12 months…and i know alot more that have purchased last least 50 or more

Betamax was actually a superior technology to VHS – better picture. The reason it died is because Sony had to have their patent on it and nobody else could make Betamax players. Thus, the price remained high while everybody else made VHS players and the prices went down. Besides, HD might “drive” the DVD industry, but it won’t do jack for me until I can afford it. :stuck_out_tongue:
