EmuParadise removes ROM downloads in fear of legal issues

The controversial gaming website EmuParadise will stop offering ROMs of old games. The administrator of the site fears for lawsuits from game publishers, according to a message posted on the website.

In addition, the Japanese game developer accused the sites of unfair competition and trademark infringement.

In this day and age, everything is “unfair competition”. The oligarchs have taken power, and they’ll be damned if they give up even a small amount of it. BTW, what are they competing with? Nobody’s producing cartridges/discs of many of these old titles. Seriously, there’s literally nothing to “compete” against.

The website will remain online and from now on will only offer legal content.

In otherwords, they won’t offer much of anything at all. Emulators aren’t much good if there’s nothing to emulate.
