Embedded Video vs Just A Link

Lately, when I post a link to a video, later, I find it embedded in the page rather than being just a link. Strangely, I don’t know how to embed videos, only how to post a link.

Is that automatic? If so, it doesn’t seem to be consistent. Sometimes, it embeds and sometimes remains just a link.

Not that it matters to me, just curious. I’ve noticed that a page with a lot of embedded videos takes a lot longer to load and scroll (otoh, it’s handy having it right there, too).

I’ve fixed a few of your posts for you and the other staff may have too but in general use the YouTube tags to create an embedded video.

To do this place the YouTube video reference (the reference number after the = sign) between the YouTube tags.

Or in other words this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5TqIdff_DQ becomes this
which gives this.

I also change links to embeds. I usually do it if I’m watching a video. Here’s a little screencapture video that demonstrates it: http://club.myce.com/f94/youtube-tutorial-333811/
