I tried VideoReDo and it worked like a charm for the editing but got into some romance before I finally succeeded.
VideoReDo wants it in MPEG to start. It wouldn't accept the MPEG that my Panasonic VHS to DVD converter produced. Then ran it thru a program that converts any format to any other, from Ed-U-Kate Video Editing Software, complete package on a disk for $8.95 including S&H from UK. Then it edited quick & easy.
I then discovered it had delivered PAL instead of NTSC in spite of the choice I made. Went back again into VRD and set it up, edited original again in NTSC but couldn't make a DVD with VideoReDo.
Went back to Nero and it burned the DVD.
What with my frustration and confusion not sure I told it exactly as it happened taking three programs to make it all work. In the end I got that job done as I wanted. I'm new at this and probably could have done better. Live and learn --- I hope. Thanks
